Finally got here as well.

Hi, my name is MariaRita Albertazzi and I live in Canada. I am a painter.
I have just recovered from a cold which actually was a good thing because it gave me time to rest and think...Where am I going with my art? Am I still experimenting, exploring, learning?
Hmmm...to be honest I not exploring too much these days. Being a "professional" artist ( meaning that I pay my bills selling my paintings), sometimes does not leave time for much exploring to be done. Which is bad, because that way painting becomes a job and is not fun nor interesting...not everyday, anyway.
So yesterday I "explored"...I changed style a bit, I came back to bolder shapes, stronger colors...still landscapes of course, they are waht I love, but I felt I was painting with zest and energy, felt like I had a new toy. It does not sound too professional does it...comparing painting to a new toy? ahhh....but painting has to be fun, has to be like a new toy for a kid and the painter has to remain a kid...somewhere deep down. Picasso said that...he was right.
